2006 Sti Driving Lamps - First post
I'm taking delivery of a new Sti on March 1st 2006 my 3rd Impreza, you could say I'm hooked.
Does anyone know of a driving lamp for the new model?
I know that I'll miss the PIAA driving lamps on my present 2003 Sti. The new model only has a small aperture on the WRX surround which wouldn't take the previous model units.
Any help much appreciated.

We've looked at various options and getting something to fit inside the cover that gives reasonable performance seems to be impossible with lamps that are currently available. The 90mm unit won't even fit there's that little space so we are working on another solution.

The PIAA for the 03 Sti were not as good as the ones on my 2000 model. However, they are a big improvement over the foglights on the standard WRX.
They give a flat topped beam which effectively extends the range of vision on mainbeam. I was able to negotiate them as a no cost option on my trade up.
I realise that they are pricey, but they are well made and look good with a blue rim to the reflector - I'd definitely recommend them.
I hope this helps.
Just my opinion folks so don't hang me if you think differently.
