Best/Brightest headlights for a classic?
What do people find to be the best aftermarket headlights for a V5/6, that have a good beam pattern etc?
I know morettes are supposed to be good, apparently the 'new' design angel eyes (the ones with the projector dome in them) claim to be brighter than morettes. Or maybe revert back to o.e. crystal ones??
I currently have the older design angel eyes and find them pretty useless!
Any advise on which are best?
Cheers

Here's mine with Morettes and Hella HID driving lights.
Good? Definitely!
The ultimate? Probably not, now with HID more readily available for the headlights. Haven't gone there, (yet) as I remain unconvinced of the beam pattern with HID and H4 units;(
I wouldn't swop the Morettes though: light units by Cibie.........they weren't the choice of rally teams for nowt, the beam patterns are spot on, and the outers use H4, so you get DOUBLE main beam .
And as for the Hella HIDs.........

Go with the Morettes. Cibie optics vs ring optics. No match there. I've tried various aux lamps on rally cars and nothing beats Cibie optics. The outers still keep the original wiring so you can get more light by installing a seperate relay controled feed from the battery for them. That will improve dipped beam as well as main.
The only difficulty with the Morettes is getting at the setting screws. Once done though, the're excelent.
