Question ECU Help

Hi all,

looking for a bit of help had the cover / foot plate off looking at the ECU because that's as far as my knowledge of it will allow me to go and I noticed the earth bolt under the ecu has a wire on it but only about 3cms then nothing else wire has burnt, I have had the car over a year no problems.
If this is a earth what is it from or what is it earthing??

Any advice?

cheers.

sounds possibly like a bad earth problem.
basically if the engine earth fails it must source power from other earth points . ie small thin earths so when the engine is cranked over a 100amps go,s through the thin 15 amp cable which in turn melts .

or possibly someone has beem messing about.
