Default sidelight bulb removal??

might sound daft, but how the hell do you get to the sidelight bulbs on later shape classics? went to look at how to do it this morning, and couldnt see how to acess the bulb from the engine bay,as the lamp seems to sit in the wing area.... its not through the arch liner is it? as that seems a bi long winded for a bulb change.... cars a my00

Lift bonnet and you will see a little screw very near to the side light just above the headlight
You will figure the rest

Wink

After you undo Brun's little screw, the sidelight PULLS sharply straight forwards. It's likely to be stiff, it's on a ball and socket joint

Brun........... yes did notice the little screw, and even removed it as i figured that must be holding the sidelight in place, but i gave it a little pull and it wouldnt budge, didnt want to break anything so thought id ask first...ball and socket retention it is then and be a bit firmer with it.

cheers guys

And the screws holding the covers on will be rusted solid too , might have to drill them out and replace with nut and bolts

Which is why you'll find almost all the screws, nuts and bolts open to the weather on my seven and a half year old classic, replaced with stainless..............at least all those which don't need huge torques are.
