Default Problems with starter

Hi

Have problem with a friends car(MY00 with link ecu), first the starter died on it(just clicks no more ), then when we rolled and started the car , the Speedo and rev is acting crazy...messed up the Wb lambda as well...

Any ideas, starter looks to be f-cked but should it makes that big impact on the rest of the electronics ...tried dis connect the power to it to see if the problem with Speedo would go away but...no

Does any one have a clue..

Possibly an earthing problems, had similar problems with my rev counter.
I checked the standard earth points on my car & found 1 had broken (lower front chassis).

main chassis earth is connected to starter bolt. is there a good connection. it could also explain your starter not working.
