Wiring for a WRX RA engine

Wiring for a WRX RA engine
Hi,
I bought a WRX RA engine from ebay to fit in a beetle but the car's loom was partially melted. I have the engine loom and sensors.I looked at a breaker the other day and it had one multipin connector under the intercooler whereas my engine has 2 3 pin connectors for cam/crank sensors.
I believe the engine is from about 1994 (plastic parts are dated '93)
Is the RA loom different to the regular WRXs? I will probably have difficulty finding an RA loom so was considering adapting what I have to use a standard loom from the same era. Would this work? Or is the wiring very different due to the fifth injector? Would I be better off using a regular WRX engine and main loom together? If I did that would I have to change the crank/cam sensors?
Thanks for any help!
Rich
