Don't know about 50% HB3's but you could try http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ or http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/hb3-4_bulbs.htm#ib

Lucas (LSUK) do high wattage versions:

HB3 (clear end): 100 watts part number: LLB9005A
HB4 (black coated end): 80watts Part Number: LLB9006A

note the "A" on the part number as this is what denotes the high wattage version. Without it you'll get a normal wattage bulb

Question

Has anybody used the 100w HB3s? Does the extra heat melt the plastic reflectors as other posts suggest? I have some german 100w bulbs made by a Philips company but haven't tried them yet.

Regards

People "say" this, but I'm yet to see a post on here or hear from someone who actually HAS melted their reflectors.

Currently runing 90/130's on a MY98 Scoob (plastic refelectors)
Also 90/130watt + 100 watt mains on an Escort Cossie (plastic reflectors)
And 80 watt HB4's on a 5series BMW (plastic reflectors - no angel eyes )

All standard wiring/relays, no excessive tempertures noticed either.

So I know for fact those are fine. But as I haven't tried them on the later MY03, weather the reflectors will cope is down to someone willing to try it and tell you.
