Got a 94 JDM WRX Wagon two months ago. It has recently developed a fault with main beam.
Most of the time main beam isn’t working – neither side on nor the blue light on the dash. Dipped beam, sidelights, front fogs and all other electrics AFAIK are Ok.
First time it happened was on Tuesday evening. I checked to see if a fuse or the bulbs had blown. Nothing obvious so I waited for a proper look (in daylight) the next morning. Wednesday morning I try main beam and it works! However - drove a few miles and main beam stopped working – again.
This has happened a few times since then.
I’m guessing a loose connection or dodgy switch somewhere?
Any ideas / pointers gratefully received.
BTW soon after I got the car I uprated to Halfords ‘Rally’ 100/80w bulbs. Not sure if this has caused the problem?

My Auto Electrician found it was a dodgy terminal - not transferring the current.
