Default flasher unit location?

Can anyone tell me where the flasher unit on a 97 Impreza UK turbo is? The manual is useless, it shows all the fuses, but nothing else. I found what look like switching units above the fuse panel under the dash, but there are 3 and I don't know what does what.

HELP!

Question

"Flasher Unit" as in "Indicators"??

If so, and if it's the same as on my '98 car, it's high up under the dash on the driver's side, and can be accessed by removing the fusebox securing screrws and pulling it forwards.

I identified mine by selecting indicators, and feeling which one was ticking, working blind, as you can't see what you're doing.
