Hi all,

I want to take apart my MY99 fog lamp and repair a small hole letting in water in the glass. Does anyone know if it is possible to separate the glass and plastic pieces? I have removed the two metal clips but it is well stuck!

update: They look like they have some glue substance joining them together, so I guess it aint goin to be easy to get apart.

AFAIK, they don't come apart. This has been posted more than once :, and I've NEVER heard of anyone getting one apart successfully.

Even if you did, I bet it would leak afterwards.

If it's a small hole, try clear silicone from outside.

what about taking the lamp to Autoglass, etc and asking if they can repair it - they can do chips in windscreens

The Blobeye owners are putting their haedlights in the oven to melt the seal enought so that can separete the to take the orange wedges out.

You coud try the same with your foglight?

Assuming they are made the same way.

The rears are plastic too, a bit drastic if you get it a bit too hot and that lot starts to sag, too, especially headlights.
