Default Will I need to reset the ECU ?

Hi All,

While mooching around under the dash of my 1993 WRX, trying to cure a problem with my horn, I came across a couple of connectors un-plugged (black one and a green one).

Anyway, having only recently had an alarm fitted. I decided the gibbon (not a very good install, but hey they're insurance approved guvnor) who installed the alarm, had negelcted to re-connect the cables. So I did it.

Big mistake !

The rad fans started switching on and off and the techincal looking gubbins on the drivers side strut housing started making a funny switching noise. I disconnected them straight away.

Anyway, I did a search and it turns out their part of the dignostics procedure for checking the ecu outputs. Only to be connected when somethings wrong. ****e !

Basically, I want to know, have I scrambled the ecu's brain, by fecking around ? Will I need to reset it ? Doh !

Still haven't sorted the horn problem, either

Worked out I need to get 12V's on the plunger for the slip-ring behind the wheel. Checked fuses, all ok. Any suggestions ?

Cheers
