Just bought my first scooby and need to know how to fit autometer guages to it. It's an EJ22 motor and I think I'm right in saying the oil pressure sensor wont fit on to the block so a special braided line need to be used,. Where do you get this line from?
Also would like to fit water temp guage and oil temp guage so any advice would be great.

first of all I would advise not posting this in 3 different places as youj won't win friends with the moderators.

To remotelyu mount a sensor you can buy braided hose from places like think automotive and demon tweaks. I think the fitting is 1/8BSP but can't be certain.

There are two available places att he front of the engine, which is the same as an ej20 and probably an ej25. one is below the alternator where the oil pressure switch is mouted. You can buy a T peice and use the same place, or just ditch the oil pressure switch. On the front face of the engine there is another such hole for doing the same thing which is blanked up. It isn't more than 3 inches fromt he oil pressure switch location.

Oil temp should be taken from the gallery aove no. 3 cylinder which has the same blanking boss in it as mentioned previously but is about 8 inches in a straightline back from the oil pressure switch location.

Water temp probably requires that you have a boss welded into the rad. The rad has a cold side and a hot side. I would be inclined to measure at the hot side to get a worse case scenario impression of how the water temp is doing.
