Default Rear light removal - help

Ok im fitting a set of STi lights to my car and first need to get the old ones off. Ive removed the 5 bolts securing it onto the car but it doesnt seem to want to budge.....I really dont want to break anything by bashing it

Also the strip of body coloured metal under the light - does this need to come out????

There's 5 bolts in total.

Once they've all been undone, heat up the gorilla snot with a hairdryer or something and push the light unit out taking care to ensure that either you or someone else has a grip on it.

The strip of body coloured metal was attached to my old lights when I removed them. Simple case of undoing and refitting to new ones.

Question

Hope you put plenty of new gorilla snot round the STi lights. There are LOADS of posts on here about the new lights leaking!

Good stuff can be had from caravan dealers, non-setting mastic, by name.
