MY03 STI Headlights and Sidelights.
I believe that the headlight bulbs in my 2003 STI are H4, is this the case?
Also, what is the code for the sidelights?
Cheers.

Hi Jim
The dip beam headlights are H1, the sidelights are W5W.
Both Chris and me have changed the OE Phillips items for Osram Silverstar H1's and Phillips Blue vision W5W's - big improvement!
Go to www.powerbulbs.com
JohnD
PS It's easier to remove the lamp unit when changing the sidelight bulbs - no big problem.

These have now been changed for the bulbs that John D suggested and believe me it has made a difference!
Cheers John.

Guys,
Just got my replacement dipped beam bulbs. Have replaced the one by the battery (fiddly but got there in the end), but havent tried the other side yet (cold and snowing today). It looks very tight on that side, any recommendations ? should I remove the air intake to get better access ?
I went for the Ring Ultra Xenon bulbs and will get the phillips blue vision for beam in a few weeks.

Yeah remove the plastic air intake. Two off 10mm spanner head bolts at the front then it just lifts clear and sort of unclips from the inner wing where the airbox case protrudes through. Very easy and simple to do (and refit) and gives loads more room.
