Default Watts a good headlamp bulb ;-)

(Funny aint I )

Need to replace them on my 99 STi V as one dip beam is gone – what’s a good upgrade for not silly money (£25!)

Also a bulb has gone in my Scoobysport driving lights – what type are these 130w bulbs? H4?

Cheers

Thumbs up

IIRC the Scoobysport Cibies were H2.

As far as headlights go, I use Philips Vision Plus 50% brighter, or GE Megalights 60% brighter.

PVP from almost any decent car shop, about £20 the pair, or from Powerbulbs with free matching sidelights, on line.
GE from Autolamps online.

Osram Silverstar's (+50%) Best on test in Autoexpress a while back. Otherwise Philips +50%. Don't be tempted by offerings at Halfords, they're b*ll*x...

Yep - as above.

I use Osram SiverStars and think they're great. Recently bought two pairs on ebay for not much more than £20. This isn't the link to the guy I bought the bulbs from, but the prices are similar - CLICKY . Contact him, see what he can offer.

Bulbs in the Scoobysport Cibies are indeed 130w H2. General opinion is that 100w bulbs last longer whilst not being niticeably less powerful. Got a pair of 100w phillips ones on ebay for £5 a few weeks back.
