Default Kill switch

Was thinking of fitting a kill switch to my scooby, what i would like to know is, does anyone know how much loading (amps) etc the live feed to the coil pack needs to break into a simple hidden on / off switch?? will i need to fit a relay to bypass the loading of the switch to prevent it from burning out

The live wire going into the coil pack doesn,t look that "beefy"

thanks

If you wanted to do that I would suggest fitting one on the fuel pump.

They will start the car, drive a few yards down the road and cut-off when the fuel rails empty.

Think about it!. You are in a stolen car in the middle of the road and drawing huge amounts of attention, possibly with traffic, probably at night.

Would YOU hang around to find out what was wrong, or would you run off?

If you put a kill switch, on the ignition that could simply run a wire from the battery to the coil.

Would it even start with a switch on the fuel pump, don't you need pressure for the injectors to work??

Yeah,

If you ever want to change the regulator or injectors you have to unplug the fuel pump and start the car to drain the presure in the fuel rails.
