Question

Folks,

Ages ago I recall several posting from folks who were tinkering with their ECUs (e.g. making their own interface device to hook onto the ECU for either performance improvements or data logging reasons). I may need to tap into some data from the ECU (that drives the climate control), but before doing so I need to know some specs, data formats, etc used by the ECU.
E.g. does it use a common standard like RS232 (unlikely), or a Subaru-proprietary data transport standard?

If anyone can offer advice please email me.

Regards,
Colin.

P.S.
It’s actually for a Legacy GT-B... but by all accounts the ECU isn’t too different from the Impreza.
