Question

Just fitted a boost guage, now I need to pick up a supply to power the backlight. Anyone any idea where to find a suitable wire to tap into? The fuse box looks horribly difficult to get near.

recently fitted defi gauges to my '99 Uk car.

If you remove the footwell trim around the drivers side, you should be able to see the loom coming down from the wipers, indicators etc, to a pair of multipin connectors beside the steering universal joint. There should be a orange cable on one corner of a white connector, which if you test with a meter, comes live when you switch on the side lights.

Hope this helps, but don't know if this is the same on all models/years.

Gareth
