Cant help with a diagram, but if no one else can get you one ,your welcome to have a look at my MY01 morrette lights if your localish.

Prepare for a very gash drawing - I can give you a rough overview of the wiring as I've got HIDs
The bulbs are connected to a ballast unit by a thickish (high voltage) cable. The other connector to the ballast is the power supply. This is connected to the battery with a power relay (30A capacity) as a switch. The relay is triggered by wires from your existing light connectors, i.e. when you turn on the lights, the relay contacts and lets power get to the HID ballasts directly from the battery so you don't overload the car loom wiring.
This might be a start but watch out for the ballasts being live - they spark up the lamps at something like 23kV and then settle down to sensible figures so be careful / safe etc
