Question

My central locking now fails to lock using my remote keyfob but works when I use the key. However when I use the keyfob to unlock this works fine ???.

Has anyone had this problem or any ideas on how to begin troubleshooting the problem.

I have a turbo 99 model with a GT autoalarm keyfob.
Cheers in advance

Dont know if this helps but.....

Just had my MY00 1 week and the alarm fob wouldn't operate the central locking. I knew both the fobs were good.

So I used the alarm keypad inside the car to reset to default values.

Now works fine...

Question

Researching through this site I noticed that alarms are interfaced using a mechanical solenoid/actuator to activate the central locking mechanism. I assume this would be located in the drivers door and if so how easy is it to get into the door panel? i.e.(Any pitfalls/precautions).

Cheers

Hi mate as you may or may not know i have a car security company and i fit GT as well. You will have a door motor in the drivers door which may need adjusting or replacing. I'm only in Nottingham so if you need it looking at Drop me an E-Mail.
