Question

Hi,

I am hoping to purchase a set of PIAA spot lights for my Impreza MY00. My local garage has quoted me around £380 parts and another £60 for fitting!!!!!. I am happy to pay the fitting charge as they have just fitted my Turbo timer and done a fantastic job. However the parts cost seems stupid.

I will be looking to purchase the lights plus all the fitting kit as one package. Can anyone suggest a place where I can expect to pay a more realistic figure.

Cheers

P.S. In the PIAA range will I have a choice of lights?. If so, which is the best one to go for.

Thanks again.

Question

Chiark,

Thanks for the reply. I have just been to their website, they are currently offering PIAA 80 lights with all the bits for £245. Is the PIAA 80 model any good, as I thought there were a few different models in the range.

Cheers

Rob,

I went for the full kit from DR Motorsport, it cost £235 - I think this is still the price. The kit includes the lights, brackets, relays wiring loom.
I think chiark went just for the lights and made up his own loom and brackets.
The PRO 80XT lights are the official Subaru versions, this is what I have, in the driving type rather than the fog or spot lenses.
But fitting isn't too difficult, lots of people on the scoobynet seem to have fitted them and are always helpful with advice.

Just to echo what Greenking said, the lamps are 80 Pro XT PIAA lamps and are *exactly* what Prodrive use.

There's brief instructions on

PCB,

Yes they are a straight swap over.
Same lights, brackets, loom, etc.
