I recently had a problem with the illumination in some a my dashboard switches. Subaru wanted £3+ each for the bulbs and said the bulbs in the rear screen heater and hazard switches were not replaceable. Wrong. All the bulbs can be replaced using 'grain of wheat' bulbs from your local model railway shop at a cost of about 50p per bulb. Bit fiddly but possible.
