Question

I fitted a pair of PIAA's BC2 bulbs to my MY98 at the weekend and, although there is a worthwhile improvement (and so there should be!) I'm still just a wee bit disappointed with the results. I realise that the bulbs can't overcome poor reflector or lens design and am wondering about fitting the clearer lights from MY99/00. Will they fit, will they give much of an improvement and are they worth it presuming that they are not cheap? Thanks for any info.

Raymond.

I have a MY00, and have now fitted Superwhites, I can still hardly see anything on dip, the new bulbs did make a fair difference though. Pre 99 cars are supposed to be worse, but if they are then a couple of candles would be more use.

Raymond,
If you decide to swap for MY99 headlights let me know, I'll buy the passenger side light from your MY98. If you sell both, this will substantially offset the price for the new set.

Thanks guys.

Smurf - Now why didn't I think of that If I decide to go ahead I'll let you know but don't hold your breath because the signs are that any improvement will be minimal. Cheers.

Raymond.
