Question

Does anyone know of a driving light that fit's 'properly' inside the foglight space ?

I don't like the SS/PIAA lamps as they project beyond the bumper and I want to retain the STi covers when they're not in use.

The problem is that the standard foglight lens is approx 100mm diameter, with a flat shiny edge which makes the whole unit look bigger. When you look down on the standard foglight, it is a wedge shape, so follows the line of the bumper.

No good driving light with a lens of over 100mm diameter will be recessed enough to allow the covers to fit. Cibies and PIAA are approx 150mm lens.

If you want small lamps you might as well put a couple of those little birthday cake candles in (in pink so they look like STI candles).

My philosophy with driving lamps has always been to put the biggest FU6KOFF ones possible on to get the most light out (which was why I was upset when I could not get my Cibie Turini Apollos - long range, 800m range, 228mm dia) on the Scoob and had to settle for puny 160mm PIAA's

Question

Will the P1 driving lamps fit a standard UK car? If yes, (1) is it possible to source the lamps and re-paint, and (2) are there any electrical issues which need to be addressed?
