Hi

I have uprated mine to Halfords 130/90W Bulbs and initially got flashed, I then checked the alignment and lowered them slightly - now work brilliantly and don't annoy other drivers - I think the high power bulbs are constructed slightly differently with the element in a different position so the lights need realigning

If you have the high power bulbs make sure the wiring/connectors areuprated as well

I changed by standard bulbs (Philips halogen) to Halfords 'Super White' Xenon bulbs (still 60/55W).

I noticed a definite improvement in visibility (but nothing like using the PIAAs) especially at the edges of the illuminated arc, so far I have had no instances of people flashing me, even with the headlight adjusters fully up.

Unhappy

Hi
Anyone uprated standard headlight bulbs to halfords brighter ones, i changed mine over within 2 months of getting car but 2/3 months of people flashing me or pulling over and then flashing me once back behind me is starting to really wind me up, could this be an alignment issue.

Thanks in advance

Simon
