Question

Am picking up new Scooby on the 1st and am concerned about the discussions regarding the light output. Sounds like night-vision goggles are required judging by some posts!

Is the standard lighting on a MY2000 really that bad? Would be motorway / A road driving mostly, with B roads ( travel to villages ), and my present car ( Mondeo ) is fine with the standard lighting for what I need.

What would be the recommended solution if the car's lighting is not enough - upgrade the headlamp bulbs ( keeping legal ) or the PIAA driving lamp upgrade? Am really interested in getting the PIAA upgrade anyway.

Thanks for any advice.

Dave.

The MY00 lights are better but still pretty hopeless. I have changed the headlight bulbs to Xenon which helps a bit more, going to change the fogs bulbs to xenon this weekend as well (pain in the **** turning them on and off, remember its not legal to have them on if there's no fog).

I would like the PIAA's but they are expensive. The cibies are cheaper but I hear problems (no offence) and they don't look as neat as the PIAA's.

I would just do what I have done for now, upgrade to Xenon bulbs (Halfords £9.99 or there abouts)

Kev,

Surfed to scooby.org (instead of a reading a tedious Finance case). Good work mate, it's an excellent site. Convinced me of the need for some driver training.
However . .you've got a Y2K bug.
