Unhappy FAO. Anyone with PIAAs on classics

I recently bought a set of PIAA driving lights through a group buy.
Now, i`ve had them for a few weeks, but only went to fit them tonight.

On the lamp, there is only 1 mounting bracket...is this correct ??
I thought they would`ve been a direct replacement, using the original 3 mounting points of the fog light ??

Is this correct ??
Car is MY98, so, pre-facelift bumper.

Thanks
Johnny

if you are interested, i have a guide to fitting piaa lights to the impreza (compiled by a member of Scoobynet). Its 5meg tho' (quite a big email!). If you want it - let me know..

alan
p.s. In the guide there appears to be only one bracket per lamp (big triangular thing)

Is it the Pro 80XT kit Johnny?

If so, then it's a single large bracket for each lamp. It uses 3 mounting screws in the bumper. On my RB5 I noticed they had drilled a 1" hole to accept the large screw which holds the lamp to the bracket.

My bumper looks like this

And here's a pic of the bracket and lamp

Albob...if you could email me it, that would be great. I can accept large emails here, so no worries. Thanks a lot.

Stefan, Yep, it's the Pro 80XT i think. i'll go check the box, but there was no single large bracket like yours.

When i removed the fog lights, the mounting points are actually part of the casing on the back of the light.

You can get Subaru brackets to fit these things.......Although with some clever manipulation you can get them in without the brackets.

Call SImon at Roger Clark Motorsport for the brackets if needed on 01455 828610
