I had air horns fitted to my last MY00 and the '03 needs a upgrade in this department. I have done a search but can't find the comment recently about "sounding like a bunch of screaming monkies"? or similar(LOL). However, Halfords do an aftermarket horn and I wondered if anyone fitted this to their MY03. If so, any pics/comments plse?

Get some more air horns from Halfords,
check Chiarks site for fitting.

You will struggle to find room to fit them I gave up in MY01 and didn't even both on MY03

TBH the horn is loud the car is just well insulated

Get a mate to sound it while standing in front

Yes it is better than the MY00 one but the sound is IMHO a bit "excuse me please"! I couldn't figure out where to fit air horns and the ones fitted to my old car did not like wet weather and kept clogging up etc. I was thinking of getting one of those cylindrical horns from Halfords but was hoping someone would have pictures showing how the were fitted.

Those horns fit exactly where the existing ones go, remove the one on the right and use the mounting plate provided and it fits in nicely. onnect the existing cable to the horn contact then run a cable from the horn to a good earth. Leave the other horn connected (just in case) and your sorted.
