I've got a greddy boost guage which was already fitted to my wrx sti. The problem is that it lights up when you turn the ignition on but then goes out when u turn for the engine to start. any ideas?

 

Are we saying that the gauge is lit up all the time the ignition is on, INCLUDING when the engine is RUNNING, and that it goes out when you fire it up, (use the starter)??

Or that it is out when the engine is running?
If the former, that's fairly normal. My radio does the same, so maybe whoever fitted it used the radio feed?

yeah it goes out when the engines running. How would i get it to be lit up when the engines running and not just whenthe ignition is turned on?

 

Take the power from the purple wire on the back of your rear fog switch instead of the radio.
Should then work as per switch illumination process ie only when lights are on.
