Hi,
I noticed you have loads of experience with lighting / electrics etc
Have you any idea who manufactures the clear covers for cibies etc.
I only ask as I'm trying to source a company that may be interested in manufacturing clears for PIAA's as I believe there is a market for them.
I have a contact in a local plastic firm who I may approach, but using an existing mould and slightly altering it would keep the tooling costs down.
Have you heard of anyone toying with the idea before, and if so what was the sticking points.
Any info greatly rec
Cheers
Chris

I haven't heard of this at all, and was of the opinion that someone, (Scoobysport???) already did clear covers for the Cibies?
[sorry, didn't read the post properly first time: ]
I know they do them for their Hella HID's, as I have some, and wouldn't even mount the lights until they came.:
So that's two different ones they do, and they may be interested in a third type?
As far as PIAA's are concerned, the OE Subaru covers for foglights do fit if you turn them through 180 degrees, but they need either electrician's tape around the mountings, or x-shaped rubber bands to keep them on.
Regarding making covers, I had some very small driving lights made by Raydyot, before I had the HID's, and my youngest was all set to make some covers on a vacuum forming machine at his school. His technology teacher said it would be no problem.

Just re-read your post: perhaps you could approach Scoobysport to find out who does theirs? They may be interested in doing some for PIAA's.
