Question

Bit more info needed:

What bulbs are in the lights?
Are they like Morettes, (outers do main/dip, inners do main)?
Or like the American ones,(outers do dip, inners do main)?

Question

Does your relay have terminals numbered 30, 85, 86, and 87?
30 should be from battery,
85 from headlight main beam,(or dip beam, if we're talking new age)
86 to earth,
87 to lights.

However, without a second relay, you won't get the outers on at the same time as the inners.

To do that:
Second relay, with:
£0 from battery,
85 from headlight DIP beam,
86 to earth,
87 scotchloked into one of headlight dip beam feeds.
