Frank, I'm thinking of getting some of these too. As far as I can tell, you'll be fine if you get the 'E' marked ones which include a foglight, and are three lamp clusters - these will pass an MOT.
The more common ones are two lamp clusters and do not contain a foglight. You'll need a separate fog light to get through an MOT.
Although I am prepared to be proved wrong.
I think the three lamp clusters are a bit more expensive.
Hope this helps,
T

Thanks Tony..
from what i can find, i think your assumptions are correct.
Im going for the 2 cluster, but as mines an import, i have to have the secondry foglight fitted anyway ..
ahh well, plead ignorant or insane ... lol
thanks for your help

My research suggests that DR Motorsport may be the cheapest place for 2-lamp clusters - £200 inc VAT last time I looked, but I stand to be corrected.
Also, try and search for similar threads - there's a guy that posts on here who has a truly excellent fitting guide on the web somewhere for these, with pictures and detailed instructions.
If only I could remember who......
Best of luck mate.
