Question

went out tonight in me my99 and found the lights for the fuel and coolant temperature gauges are out. anyone know what i need to make 'em work??? what type of bulb i need if thats the problem?

It's just a single globe that lights both of those guages in an MY99 so chances are it's just a blown globe. Easy to change. Just lower your steering wheel.
Undo the 2 screws in the top of the dash surround and then pull it off the 2 clips at the bottom.
You will then see the 3 screws holding the actual dash in place. Undo those 3 screws and just turn the dash enough to undo the globe holder. (It's the big one out of them all)
Shouldn't take more than 15-20 mins.

done cheers. but do you have any idea why it is now a whole lot brighter than the revs and speedo diald?

I can only assume they gave you the wrong globe.
i.e. A higher wattage.

it was one i already had. should i put in a smaller wattage one or put the same in the other dials?
