Fitting HID kit to Classic Morette's

Anyone here done this? I brought a kit yesterday and spent the whole day trying to fit them. All that stands in my way is one little spring. The tension spring that holds the bulb in cant go into the clip because the bulb stops it as its not a thin metal plate at the top its a thicker plastic. Anyone had this? Is there a way around it?

I had HID on my bugeye and had a similar problem 
Try taking a set of pliers and twisting the springs slightly so that they splay out a bit wider - might help to make them easier to push down and get the clips to engage...

Well finally got them in and they are amazing. For anyone else who gets this problem theres a notch sticking out that stops the bulb going in properly but seems to serve no purpose. Once I took that out it was fine.
