Question

I;m thinking of driving down to the alps this winter, I;ve been down there several times in other cars.

Now I managed to get beam deflectors - you know those yellow things to fit on the big lights of my mx6. But now I;ve got morrettes on my MY02 - what do I do ?!?

Simply cut them down ??

I have been wondering this myself as shall be going alp bound early next year.

I was going to use black insulation tape to "no hand" the light pattern of my STI projectors.

My thoughts:
Park up against the garage wall and turn the lights on.

Will get a \c___ \c____ beam pattern on a RHD car.

A left hand drive car would be ____c/ ____c/

So i was going to turn the lights on and apply tape until the light spread to the above left of Centre (marked with a C above) had been blocked out to give the following pattern, which will neither blind the oncoming traffic in the UK or on the continent>

______c______ ______c______

If you get my drift

This was basically what I was thinking too - and was just going to take the hit on distance.

Cheers

The distances for beam setting are as the attached thread, but as long as your lights are set right (assume they are) however far you are from the wall when masking them, as long as you mask off all the beam pattern above the horizontal cut off, you'll be ok by definition.
Unless of course you can bend light. Einstein move over
