When the heated rear window is on, I get a "beep" type noise on the radio whenever I press and release the foot the brake, or when I use the indicators.
Any ideas what's causing this?
Also there is a loud "click" noise (happens all the time, not just when the heated rear window is on) whenever I used the windscreen wipers in intermittent mode, and also when I use the heater controls (Auto, 1,2,3 control). The noise seems to be coming from near the alarm keypad (below the fog lamp switches). This is a "normal" noise? I can't say I noticed the noise before the car had its 1k service.

you used to have to fit something like a suppressor choke into the radio aerial wiring to stop this but modern cars tend to have some circuitry already - unless living in the future with an my53 means they've given up with installing them... (presuumably you've got an my03 on a 53 plate )
have a look / search / post in the ICE forum for more info.

Bullring,
The clicking you can hear in the area around the keypad is normal; it's the wiper relay operating.
The beep you hear is probably down to a bad connection. Drop it back to the dealer, assuming you haven't replaced the factory fit radio yet (you will, honest) as it's their problem. Did you pick it up a Westaways? They're a pretty good dealer and will sort it.
Good luck,
Steve

Steve.
Yep I did get it from Westaway, I'll drop in and let them have a look. Thanks for the info
Did you replace the radio for another 2din unit? And if so which one?

There is a filter unit, located on the underside of the rear shelf (assuming a 4-door) that is supposed to stop this happening. Might be worth checking that it is connected properly, particularly teh ground (earth) connection.
