Question

Can anybody give me some info?

I've instaled some JDM Sti lights with HID on an MY02 (awesome output compared to what I had before) and yesterday got a "working solution" for the electrical levellers but they seem to move "strangely," i.e.

Dash switch position (DSP) 0 = normal level for driving
DSP 0 to DSP 1 = drop by largish amount
DSP 1 to DSP 2 = drop but by smaller amount than above
DSP 2 to DSP 3 = raise to above DSP 2 height

I can swap the positions around but wondered why one of them would actually lift the lights (unless you make a whacky racers job with the suspension )?

Is the large and small drops to take into account the suspension / springs where initially the lights need to change a lot under "moderate" loads but due to stiffness when compressed more, don't need to change as much under heavy loads?

I'd originally wanted to leave the lights so they were level on DSP 1 and have them go up only slightly on DSP 0 for country lanes but there's a big difference between the two settings .

Before the levellers were connected, the lights were great for 99% of the time but at long range, a limited few oncoming people thought they were highish as the dipped beam slightly spreads with distance.

Any ideas?

Thanks
