My MY96 wagon rear wiper has stopped working??

i stropped the unit out and applyed power direct to the motor and all is ok...

but on refitting no go!!

i checked the power feed to the motor.. and i dont appear to have 12v on the motor side... the other two wire bit seems ok..

the relay in the boot area clicks when i turn the wipers on but nothing happens... am i right to assume the relay is kaput... if so is it a generic type or a scooby £100 special

I would check the loom where it passes through the tailgate ( protected by rubber boot) the wiring often fails here due to the flexing.
