Hi
My mate is getting married next week and is then heading off to France in his 02 bugeye with Morretes, my question is, what does he do with the lamps, it's not like you can just put one of them stickers on is it He bought the car with the Morretes already on so fitting the originals with stckers isn't an option
Secondly, do Subaru do a car bulb kit to include the Morretes...he'll need one in France won't he?
I'm best man btw so I kinda feel I should help him out

Bob - Yes you can!
Couple of things - when driving in France, the only compulsory things you need are a warning triangle and headlamp adjusters. First aid kit / spare bulbs etc are only recommended.
You can get headlamp adjusters/sticker thingies for Morretes from your Subaru dealer - they cost a couple of quid. I've got them from Lavender Hill before. Not sure if dealers do a spare bulb kit for the Morretes though.
Details about what you need when driving abroad can be found here
Cheers

Nice one Chris - Thank you!
One other thing, will there be Super unleaded in France, he wondered whether or not to take octane booster...he doesn't normally use it, he has the PPP fitted...dunno what difference if any it makes though

Never heard that rule before - I can't see it mentioned on any of the travel sites I've seen (they all say it is a compulsory requirement). Regardless of that - I would still say it would be a courtsey to adjust your headlamps. To quote the AA site: 'Regardless of local requirements, it is wise to adjust headlamp beam for driving on the right.'
