Question

...i don't know whether i could wire them into some wiring under the dash or if i need to wire them directly into the fuse box ,if under dash wiring is safe and non-bodgy could you tell me which colour wires i need to look for (98 uk turbo 2000) thanks muchly.

hi

i've got mine wired into the wiring for the headunit this works ok for me.

I wired my Bel 550i to the radio +12v and negative supply. As the detector only take 0.25 amp it should not be a problem. I am sure the GPS won't take much mre than that also.

There's a permanent live in the hazard light wiring if you want them to stay on when the ignitions off, yellow with silver traces on MY01. There's a 12V ignition switched live in the radio wiring, forget the colour. The cigarette lighter is another good source of 12V but whether it's permanent or ignition switched seems to vary from car to car.
