ATTENTION David Wallis or any ECU BOYS ADVICE NEEDED CAN A PRODRIVE ECU BE REMAPPED
The reason i am asking is that i have got the chance of getting a prodrive ecu for my MY96 pre-facelift. I have got my car booked in for a unichip but you know how these cars tend to cost you money when you least expect it and after a few surprise repairs over the last week funds are low.
So i have the chance to buy a prodrive ecu out of a 95/96 car which should keep me happy for a while but can it be re-mapped in the future and is it easier/harder to do than the standard ecu.
The only mods are full de-cat and panel filter.

If I remember right you can't as the prodrive ECU has a piggy back chip which "fool" the ecu in to higher boots and different fuelling... from what i've read you cannot re-map these.... It's better to save the pennies and re-map the standard ecu..
