One stereo channel packed up......

Found a problem in the wiring, just a loose connection within the connection block - was tempremental, but, as i slid it back into its casing into the dash, it completely shut down, as in no sound coming out at all....

tried the original stereo back in and it worked, so presumed fuse was ok, clock had reset itself though!.

removed both stereo's, leaving nothing there, but now have another problem, once the ignition is switched off, the car resets, the clock comes on at 1:00, the alarm beeps once when you re - ignition the thing.

Further to that, once out of the car, I now have no remote, as in no locking nor alarm when I press the button on the key fob, it is like there is now no power to the car at all unless the ignition is on.

I am running out of light and the torch is almost dead, can this be a fuse fault, or have I something a little more serious, somebody please give me a clue - electrical dunce here!!!

and i forgot to mention MY00 classic turbo...... if it makes any difference...

and cant even lock the car using the key - no central locking... gonna have another look sunday as I work tomorrow so you have time to mill this over....cheers....

Check you havn't pulled a plug out then check the fuses.

problem solved, twas a 15a in the engine bay, about 3rd from last to be checked, after checking ALL inside the car......

hey, re wired the stereo and even that works again now.... was imagining a huge bill (well at least for the new stereo I told the missus I would need .... dont need it now... )
