Question

I've got a pair of Cibies with H2 bulbs. Happy enough with the light output but not the bulb wear rate. I think there is arcing between the bulb holder and the bulb. Has anyone tried soldering the bulbs on to the bulb holder. I am tempted to try this but am a little concerned that the heat from the light will melt the solder and mess up the lens.

Any thoughts folks?

Question

Sounds like a good idea from the outset, but like you, I reckon the heat from the bulb will melt the solder, and who knows where it could end up?
Have you tried cleaning up the connection area, bending the spring clips in to make them stronger etc?
I seem to remember that Scoobysport had some different bulb holders that cured the prob?
