Question

On my 94 wrx wagon the boot light doesn't come on all the time and sometimes only comes on just before it shuts , where is the switch that operates the light?

Not sure about the scoobys but most cars nower days have mercury type switches/ sensors fitted within the 'bootlid' itself or an earth on the boot catch.

Have you checked the bulb? fillament could be on last legs??

The switch on the saloon is in the latch in the bumper. It's a little white plastic plunger!

Clean up the latch and spray some WD40 over it
