I have a UK MY98 without air con. Does anyone know what's needed to get power to the plug that's is used to power the second fan on cars with Air con?

Is it just a couple of relays in the engine fuse box? I've got 3 spaces for relays marked A/C, Sub fan 1 and Sub fan 2.

Cheers

The easiest way to do it , would be to install a fresh supply from the existing fan relay (i.e before the relay) and install a relay in place of sub fan 2 (but on the same wiring) and just connect the fan from the new relay.

I'm not sure but it could be just a case of installing the fuse in the internal and external fuse boards and the relay for the sub fan 2 circuit but i think it's just trial and error. remembering that you will still need to take the trigger for fan 2 from fan 1.

I hope that sort of makes sense

Funky, thanks for the advice.

I found out that the relays for the headlights are exactly the same as the fan relays so I took one of the headlight relays and tried it in the Sub fan 1 and nothng happened so I tried it in th Sub fan 2 and it worked, so I replaced the headlight relays and then removed the Main fan 2 relay and put this in the Sub Fan two slot and hey presto both fans work.
