Brake Lights MY96

Noticed tonight that the brake lights on my 96 wagon lit up when the brake pedal was depressed even though the ignition was OFF. In fact the keys were in my hand!

Is this normal?

Dunno but mine does it as well! I thought it was a quirk caused by rewiring by a previous owner but maybe it's actually another Subaru quirk

I think it's a Subaru quirk, as mine does it as well (MY96)
