I'm having a good week Managed to break one of the plastic fog lamp covers and now just discovered that a stone has smashed the passenger side main beam lens on my Morrette headlamps
So question is - what is the best price for a replacement (MY01) Morrette lens?
Prices quoted so far : Graham Goode - £59.95 (incl VAT) TSL - £66 (plus VAT )
Anyone else?
To avoid this happening in the future - anyone know some Armourfend suppliers?
Cheers

Chris youre lucky, i've smashed the headlight lens to be quoted from TSL in the morning £60 + Vat but when i went to place the order it had suddenly risen to £109 + Vat and they justified it by quoting Subaru prices of £141 + Vat.
Be aware the Graham Goode lights are for Japanese spec Morette lights and you have to cut a small piece of plastic off the back of the unit,if you break it its your own fault (Another one) as they wont fit the European units with it.
Mine is staying cracked for the time being as ive e-mailed Valeo in France to ask for replacement lenses, as they are all identical.

The right and left dip is done by the fish eye lens inside the light unit itself not the glass lens cover.
Valeo have confirmed all the glass lens covers are the same part number for all 4 lights.

As far as I am aware (having changed one last year and had a good look at it at the time) the glass is bonded to the lamp unit and you can't change just the glass.

You are correct Dave but Valeo are trying to send me 2 lenses (Just the glass) and i will pull the existing sealent off the old lens and re-apply some new stuff with the new glass.
And hey presto (with some luck) i will have saved a few quid not being ripped off for the whole unit.

Dont tell me that Dave you will spoil my weekend,i intend to heat it to see if that will soften it enough to be removed, if not i will give it to Saddam Hussien to hold and he can tell me if it's still there after a Nuke attack.

Thanks Guys (I think). Can't believe you need to replace the whole unit - that is ridiculous Thanks for the tip Zippy - I'll speak to GGR and see what they say.

Chris, i've tried only to be told Subaru are the main contact from now on.Subaru obviously own the full rights to the Morette conversion(UK)and any replacement parts.
Thats why all the original suppliers have increased there prices on the imported versions to come just under main agent prices.
Me smells a rat.

Thanks Matt - where abouts? That will be my next stop after I've sorted out the light.
BTW - heard you were ill - not suffering flu like symptons were you? It has knocked both Sal and I out for the last week or so. Just wondered if we managed to pass it onto to you or vice versa at Dave's party last week.

Cheers Dave - certainly wasn't the food which was great BTW (nice BBQ ). We both felt a bit crap on Sunday but we put it down to excessive alcohol intake (not surprisingly) - didn't get any better on monday though and I was off for 3 days and now Sal has it.
