STi7 - Fog / Driving Light Question
#1
OK, dumb question time - I'm considering fitting either Fog or Driving lights to a standard STi7.
Can you use Driving Lights in Fog like Fog Lights (i.e. have them on independently of Main Beam), or are they only a supplement to main beam?
Also, does anyone have a front end picture of a WR Blue STi7 with the STi Grill Covers on - not convinced what it will end up looking like?
Cheers,
Nick

I'm fairly sure they're designed to work on main beam only.
If you do find a pic please let me know cos I also have WR Blue Sti and am considering driving lamps with mesh covers.
Actually - go here - and scroll down - not a full shot but might help

It is indeed an offence to use drive lamps wired as fogs, i.e. on with dip beams - apart from the fact you may dazzle someone and cause a crash.
Also, fog lamp beam patterns are designed with a wide flat top beam that shines under the fog - use a drive lamp in the fog and it will throw the light straight back in your face and dazzle you....

Nick,
Personally I'm going to go for driving lights - there's a lot more darkness than there is fog - and after having a car with xenon's - the Impreza's standard lights (even on main beam) aren't the best.
