Wiring question for MY01 Prodrive headlights
#1
Hello scooby friends!
This is an emergency call from Norway.
Yesterday I received my new carbon WRS-headlamp (Prodrive/UK300) set through Vivid Racing in USA. (I'm living in Norway.) So this set is for LHD.
After reading the fitting instructions I think I’ll have some problems connecting the wires because my WRX MY01 have different colour-coding for the wires than what is written in the fitting instructions which came with the Prodrive lights.
My car has three harness’s:
-one grey connector that feeds power to the direction indicator and position lamp.
-one black connector which feeds power to the load level motor.
-one large black connector with three spade terminals, which feeds power to the dip and main beam.
The grey connector on my car has three wires and the colour codes are :
red/yellow - black/green - black (driver side)
red/yellow - lightgreen/black - black (passenger side)
The black connector on my car has three wires and the colour codes are :
red/yellow - blue/red - white/blue (driver side)
red/yellow - black/red - white/blue (passenger side)
For the large black connector with three spade terminals I think there will be no problem because it matches the colour codes in the fitting instructions.
The Prodrive lights has to black connectors. One conector has the shape of a square. The other has more like two long sides and two short sides.
The square shaped connector has the following colour code:
red/white - green/black - black
The other connector has this colour code:
white/red - red - black
The colour codes for the wires are the same for both lamps (right and left).
I know this sounds kind of complicated, but I do hope some of you understand what I mean and maybe can be of some assistance.
Thanks,
Stein
Could you please give me some instructions on how to connect my WRS-lamps.
Kind regards

The Euro (and UK) cars have a different harness to the US cars. To fit (genuine) UK300/Prodrive Lights to US cars requires the use of an adaptor harness. I suggest that you talk to Vivid and see if they can make one up for you.
