Has anyone ever done this?

Cant see how it would be hard, as all you need do is redirect the wiring and stick in some orange bulbs.

As the headlights are plastic it would not be gard to drill and clip in a small sidelight bulb holder.

To get rid of the lower indicators really.

Better brake cooling for trackdays.

Andy to be ODD!

I dunno, Im thinking of white indicators, but would it look better without any?

Bear in mind that if you convert the sidelight into indicators you will have to find a sympathic MOT station in order to pass the MOT test.

Sidelights are an obligatory requirement in this country, unless of course you can convince the MOT tester that the car will only be used during the daylight hours.

I think you should get the white indicators, not forgetting the silvervision bulbs. While your at it do the side repeaters. This combinaton will completely change the overall look of your car. I think if you got rid of the indicators it would not look right. I could be wrong however.

Thanks for the comments guys, I dunno if im gonna bother.

Nigel, I 100% totally agree that a car without a working sidelight is illegal. However, i assume you missed the second sentence of my first post:

"As the headlights are plastic it would not be hard to drill and clip in a small sidelight bulb holder."

In other words put the sidelight in the headlight, like 95% of the cars on the road.
Thanks mate but Im sure you dont think im THAT naive. Do you?

My point on this subject was that the Scooby sidelights are in the prime indicator position, and white already!.

This has been done before, by myself and others.

There is enough 'meat' in the bottom of the sidelight to cut a hole big enought to take the existing indicator bulb holder just in front of the sidelight bulb.

I'll try to dig out some photos.

The side light are infact licence lights that all jap cars have..... and uk cars ie your average vauxhall dont have licence lights so it would be fine at the MOT..!

scoobys still have side lights as part of the main head light...

I think..??
